There is a very obvious element of "unknown" in the air at the moment. The past few days have been the hardest for many, and my sincerest thoughts are with those of you who are affected by Japan's most recent tragedy.
I believe that it's in times like these that we are reminded of this precious gift we call life, and I feel the following words by Anthony J. D'Angelo sum it up quite nicely, "The most important things in life aren't things."

What beautiful images and such a sincere post. Forever inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThe words are so true! And to see all this devastation and chaos breaks my heart....
ReplyDeleteOn a happier note, I really love the pictures, they are beautiful!
Have a lovely day, Kristina
I love this series ! Especially the first photograph. And the title says it all. Hope you have a wonderful week! (PS--per your comment re dogs, check out the movie Best in Show if you haven't heard of it. Dogs and their owners)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo's. Where were they taken? The quote feels so true... And has more impact now with the horrible situation in Japan.
ReplyDeleteThank you Genevieve, Kristina, Lauren and Christel... I'm truly grateful that you take the time to leave such thoughtful comments here. Beeg hugs to all of you, and hope you're having a lovely week! xJanine
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post... I agree. The most important thing in life is not things and an event like the earthquake in Japan definitely reminds people of that truth. Unknown creates instability and I hope that the people who were hit hard by the earthquake can keep strength in such instability. I'm thinking of my home country from afar.
ReplyDeleteExquisite images, Janine. The seaweed and the shells are incredible.
ReplyDeleteI apologize for not being around – I've been on the road and still catching up now. And my feed for your blog seems to not be working. Anyway, thinking of you and wishing you a beautiful weekend.
